Hi Christine, Shawn, and Pearl, thank you for providing the lesson plan on Two-Variable Linear Relations. I appreciate the clarity in the stated objectives, the well-defined time allocation, and the emphasis on hands-on learning through graphing. I am interested in understanding the teaching strategies you intend to employ. Specifically, I am curious about methods to avoid a traditional lecture-based approach. What are the interactive and engaging activities that you plan to incorporate into the lesson?
Hi Pearl, Shawn and Christine. Thank you for this lesson plan, but it is not complete enough to give others (Qiaochu and me, or your FA and SA, etc.) a clear idea of what you are planning to do!
Your lesson plan urgently needs to be revised to show: • What each of you will be doing, and what the students will be doing in different sections of the lesson. • HOW you will teach this topic to the students • An added page showing your example graphs, real life examples, questions or worksheet, etc. -- ah, I see that these are included in this linked lesson plan, although I didn't see it on Pearl's blog post. Thanks!
Much more detail needed! You need to think through the actual activities and how you and the students will engage with the material.
Wow, I'm impressed by your speed and attention to this! Thanks for sending the updated, improved lesson plan. This is much better, and I think you are ready to go for tomorrow. Thanks again all!
